    It is supplied with medical O2 under pressure (2.7 – 6) Bar, either from portable cylinders or from the central gas supply of the ambulance or hospital and operates purely pneumatically as it is independent of electrical power supply. It also does not consume gas for its operation but only for its administration to the patient. It can be operated with 100% O2 or with a mixture of approximately 60% O2 – air via the Air Mix – No Air Mix function.
    With the possibilities offered by the MEDUMAT Standard a covers the most difficult ventilation requirements of patients of all ages, from infants to adults.

    The MEDUMAT Standard a has the following ventilation modes:

    • IPPV – Intermittent Positive Pressure Volume Controlled Ventilation
    • SIMV – Synchronized Intermittent Positive Pressure Ventilation with Volume Controled Ventilation.

    The ventilator is resistant to mechanical stresses, waterproof (IP24), unaffected by electromagnetic interference from the environment and operates reliably under the following conditions:

    • Temperature range from -18 to +60°C
    • Humidity range 15% – 95%, without condensation
    • Atmospheric pressure 700 hPa to 1100 hPa

    It complies with the following standards: EN 60601-1, EN 60601-1-2, EN 794-3, EN 1789 & RTCA-DO 160 E
